Ms. Compton initiated Bonnie Compton Legal Nurse Consultant, LLC, with a background of diverse clinical nursing experience in the following areas: Medicine, Surgery, ENT Oncology, Labor and Delivery, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, ED, Ambulatory Care, and Rehab/Nursing Home/Long Term Extended Care, (LTAC) 

In the Quality Department, Bonnie led successful reviews of patients’ clinical records for more than 12 years by locating the required documentation to ensure the safe delivery of patient care by clinical providers in both public and private institutions. Prior to Bonnie joining the Quality Department, she was asked to lead a RCA (Root Cause Analysis) task force to identify how an inpatient in the PICU (Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit) committed suicide and to determine if staff negligence was a contributing factor. 

Bonnie utilizes the 2025 National Patient Safety Goals as established by The Joint Commission.

AHRQ (Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality) Quality Indicators are utilized to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality and equitable healthcare.

Additionally, as appropriate, Bonnie utilizes the Patient Safety Indicators (PSI) used by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, (CMS).
